PAST -TO- PRESENT
I remember waking up and hearing the prison guard saying "Hey May bag & baggage in (May of 2000) you got one hour to be ready....I walked out that gate high stepping never to return. I had one bag of my personal belongings and my tablet which held all my plans neatly written down that was going to legally propel me to my new beginning. I always dreamed of having multiple streams of income.
I was full of gratitude and had a new attitude as I carried my bucket of sudsy water and my towels and cloths were tucked in every available pocket. This became my arsenal to transform my van into a mobile detailing cleaning machine, it began to turn heads, stop traffic and the rest is history.
Once the entrepreneur bug bites it's hard not to scratch so once winter started stepping in and the detailing business, began slowing up, I jumped online and started taking classes in Graphic Design which propelled me to my next move. I started my first clothing brand (INCWEAR) needless to say this venture took off as well. I felt like I had the Midas touch at this point.
This next venture definitely had me thinking outside the box. I started my own Independent Record Label (Inner New Circle Records) complete with its, own clothing brand.
All of these ventures that I mentioned seemed to piggy back off of each other and that's okay because sometimes you have to sample this and that before you actually get to where you want to be. However my story did not end there either. The next idea to come full circle was the drink Sweet Venom Effect followed by its own merchandise which began trending and has unique followers from all walks of life looking to stand out and not just fit in.
